As part of the course, participants are invited to join the Letters to Theo project — a reflective and creative space where educators and children can capture everyday moments, thoughts, emotions, and experiences through the form of a letter. Participation is entirely optional.
Inspired by the relationship between Vincent van Gogh and his brother Theo, the project invites reflection on support, understanding, and the human connections at the heart of educational work. In this context, Theo becomes a symbol of someone who listens, understands, and believes in others.
The letters are not intended to be formal reports or structured documentation. Instead, they represent an open and personal space for expression. They may include reflections on daily life in the group or classroom, short stories from a particular day, children's quotes, ideas and questions, descriptions of play and activities, personal reflections from educators or teachers, or any topic chosen together with children.
Selected letters will be read aloud during a dedicated course segment: Reading Letters to Theo.
